TATRA
111 Einheitsfahrerhaus
The
extreme terrain and climate conditions of the
eastern front gave rise to a requirement for a
new military truck to be developed, capable of
coping both with the most demanding terrain of
muddy Russian roads and remaining fully
operational and reliable even in very deep
frost. Thus in 1943, the Kopo ivnice Tatra
automobile plant, at that time controlled by
Ringhoffer, launched a project to the design of
H. Ledwinka for a truck which was to become a
true legend - designated T111. The German army
contracted for 906 of these trucks during world
war II. During last years of the war Tatra re-designed
the cabin called it the Einheintsfahrerhaus.
This type of cabin was designed by Germans for
cheap production and was initiated for all
trucks, used by Germanany. Engine: Diesel V-910,
12 cylindres, air-cooled, OHV, cylinder capacity
14.825 ccm. power 210HP Axles: three axles with
diferential lock Weight: 8.365 kg kg Useful
load: 8.500 kg Maximum velocity: 75 km/h

C2 Wasserfall W5
Rocket
Wasserfall was first of the modern AA missile
systems in history. The project started in 1943.
The target for designers of Wasserfall was to
make an antiaircraft missile, guided by ground
radar. Later was guidance system changed
to a radio controlled version. First
launch was made 29-2-1944 with a prototype of
version W1. Total number of launches was 35 and
about 15 were not successful. Version W5 was the
final design, but in beginning of 1945 work was
started work on smaller version W10. This
version was cheaper and used less strategic
materials. About using of Wasserfall against allied
aircraft nothing is known. First of Wasserfall batteries,
Rheinland A, was captured by U.S. in Hartz. Some
complete rockets survived war and were used for
tests in USA and Soviet union.

KRUPP
L3H Wehrmacht Lastkraftwage
In
1928 Krupp introduced its first off road truck
(6x4) L3H. The vehicle had 6-cilinder carbureted
engine producing 90HP, a 4-speed transmission,
an auxiliary gearshift for on & off road
driving with live rear axles with individual
locking differentials. In the middle of the
truck was a motor driven winch with a 3ton
towing capability. In 1936, the engine was
upgraded to 110HP. The clearest indentifying
marks are two hatches on the engine hood in
place of cooling louvers. In the Wehrmacht this
vehicle was used with a wide variety of bodies,
such as as cargo, radio, photography, spotlight,
artillery towing trucks etc. These vehicles were
deployed by Wehrmacht in France, Poland, Russia
